Objective

The Career Services Department at Ideal Institute of Technology is committed to supporting and assisting the career development of all of our students. This is accomplished through a variety of career development services including career counseling, internship placement, and job search assistance. Our ultimate goal is to prepare every student for a long, successful career in his or her chosen field.

What we offer

Career Resources and Tools

Having the proper resources to conduct a successful job search can make a big difference. Ideal Institute of Technology offers a variety of career resources and tools to its students and graduates. Some of these valuable resources include employer partnerships, job referrals, and career fairs.

Employer Partnerships and Job Referrals

Locating job opportunities that are the right match for your educational background and specific skill sets can be a challenging process. Luckily we have built up relationships and developed partnerships with a variety of employers in the healthcare field. These relationships allow us to expose our qualified students and alumni to numerous job opportunities.

Career Fairs

Attending a local or regional career fair is a wonderful opportunity to start networking and meet prospective employers face to face. In addition to hosting job fairs, we can also provide information on other career fairs in the area, including both local and regional events.

What Career Services Does Not Offer

The role of Career Services is not to act as an employment agency. We provide students with the tools, resources and opportunities to find internships, jobs and appropriate advice, but ultimately they are the ones responsible for their “placement” or outcome.
** There are a number of factors that will determine the success of your job search. Potential employers will consider attitude, grades, interview performance, work background, educational background, and other intangible factors when determining employment. Ideal Education can assist students in finding employment, but we cannot promise employment.

 

Resume Services

Ideal Institute of Technology’s Career Center provides Resume Writing Services to all enrolled students.
Yes, employers still look at resumes, but only after it survives KEY WORD filters in a preliminary digital screening. We can help.
We will design or redesign your resume to target your employment goals. We’ll get it NOTICED! Our virtual services include two phone interviews and two resume distinct target markets.

Ideal Career Center is dedicated to bringing qualified job seekers to employers. We are also committed to our Veterans, and we actively seek and match qualified Veterans for the appropriate employment and training opportunities.

Resume Dilemma: Employment Gaps and Job-Hopping

In today’s economy, you need to carefully present your experience to avoid being seen as unstable. Start by evaluating your situation and determining how bad it really is. If you are panicking about two months of unemployment back in 1993, your job search will probably not be affected. However, if you are dealing with recent periods of unemployment extending for months or even years, you will need to start strategizing. If you’re concerned about employment gaps think about other activities you can use to fill that time period. You might have experience relevant to your job target, regardless of whether you were paid. Volunteer activities, community involvement, special projects, consulting engagements and continuing education can be used in the Experience section.
