PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
CompTIA A+ certification validates the latest skills needed by today’s computer support professionals. CompTIA A+ confirms a technician’s ability to perform tasks such as installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance and basic networking. The exams also cover domains such as security, safety and environmental issues and communication and professionalism. CompTIA A+ ensures the right people have the right skills. While many of the essential skills are universal, there are additional skills required to support the needs of businesses. By offering certification options for specific job scenarios, CompTIA A+ gives individuals the ability to grow their careers in a certain area, and employers the flexibility to choose the exam combination that best fits their needs.
PROGRAM PREREQUISITES:
Students must be familiar with using a personal computer, mouse, and keyboard. They must be comfortable in a Windows environment; be able to launch and close activities; and navigate to information stored on the computer. They must be able to manage files and folders.

Must score: 10 or higher in CASAS
After completing the Computer Repair Technician course, you will be able to detect and repair malfunctions of any desktop or laptop. You will be trained on replacing and repairing any part of the computer. Practical hours of the program will give hands-on training in Computer Repair course. You will also learn how to scan any system for virus, malware, or adware, and remove them from the system. You will be trained to upgrade any operating system and any micro application installed on the computer.

- Safety procedures in installation and management of computer networks
- Knowledge and skills for email management and system security
- Basic skills and knowledge in computer repair, troubleshooting skills for different computer hardware
- Solving network connectivity issues
- Skills and knowledge in the installation and configuration of operating systems such as Windows, iOS, Android, Apple OS X and Linux
- Skills and knowledge in cloud computing and important operational procedures
Ideal Institute of Technology will provide a one-time voucher for student to take CompTIA A+ Essentials, exam code 220-1001; and CompTIA A+ Practical Application, exam code 220-1002.
Student will have access to all necessary equipment and supplies such as Desktops, Laptops, Multimeter, Screw Drivers and other tools to work with computers for the duration of the course.
Student will have full access to our Learning Management System (LMS) portal, Google Classroom and Live Webinars. We will be providing resources in the form of PowerPoints, video tutorials, quizzes, assessments and much more.

After successful completion of Apple tech certification program and obtaining certification(s), A Job Readiness program and a free Resume Building Workshop will be offered to student through Ideal Career Centre, to prepare students for their job search.

Upon successful completion of the course and certification, student will get 100% job placement assistance through Ideal Career Centre.
CAREER TITLES:
Students who successfully complete a CompTIA A+ Certification Prep course will be able to secure jobs as IT Specialists Tier 1 who can create, manage, and troubleshoot computer systems and networks. Other Careers are Help Desk Technician, IT Field Technician, Network Engineer, Desktop Support and more.
