PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Ideal Institute of Technology’s Entrepreneurship program prepares students to lead start-up businesses and expand small businesses; introduces students to management, marketing, accounting and finance, which are essential for effective business development. Business programs focus on the education and skills needed in today’s global business environment. This course also factors in CompTIA A+ course that can help you prepare to diagnose any laptop or desktop. In this course you will learn some of the key procedures in fixing any computer that is having hardware or software problems. The course also helps students prepare for CompTIA A+ industry standard certification, which is required to get entry level jobs in Information Technology Industry. It is a four-month program designed for students seeking a career in IT. The A+ Certification program is one of the largest certifications that is developed and sponsored by the Computing Technology Industry Association or CompTIA with the goal of standardizing qualifications for professionals that are working in the IT industry.
PROGRAM PREREQUISITES:
Students must be familiar with using a personal computer, mouse, and keyboard. They must be comfortable in a Windows environment; be able to launch and close activities; and navigate to information stored on the computer. They must be able to manage files and folders.

Must have: High School Diploma or High School Equivalency
Must score: 10 or higher in CASAS
After completing this course, you will be able to detect and repair malfunctions of any desktop or laptop. You will be trained on replacing and repairing any part of the computer. Practical hours of the program will give hands-on training in the computer repair course. You will also learn how to scan any system for virus, malware, adware and remove them from the system. You will be trained to upgrade any operating system and any micro application installed on the computer.
- Basic skills and knowledge in computer technology such as PC installation, configuration, and networking
- Skills and knowledge in configuring mobile devices such as tablets, laptops, and smartphones that will connect to the network
- Basic skills and knowledge in computer repair, troubleshooting skills for different computer hardware, troubleshooting, safety measures and cloud computing

Ideal Institute of Technology will provide a one-time voucher for students to take CompTIA A+ Essentials, exam code 220-1001; and CompTIA A+ Practical Application, exam code 220-1002.
Students will have access to all necessary equipment and supplies such as Desktops, Laptops, Multimeter, Screw Drivers and other tools to work with computers for the duration of the course.
Students will have full access to our Learning Management System (LMS) portal, Google Classroom and Live Webinars. We will be providing resources in the form of PowerPoints, video tutorials, quizzes, assessments and much more.
CAREER READINESS:
After successful completion of the program and obtaining certification(s), A Job Readiness program and a free Resume Building Workshop will be offered to student through Ideal Career Centre, to prepare students for their job search.
