PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Students will learn to recognize, create and shape opportunities, provide the leadership and build the team to create economic and social value. Our students learn to assess feasibility and drivers of opportunities, develop viable business models, and take action. The iPhone Certification Program enables students to become certified to troubleshoot and repair iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Apple TV at an Apple Authorized service facility. Interactive discussions and hands-on exercises guide students through the setup, navigation, features, and associated services of iOS devices. Students also learn how to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair iOS devices.
PROGRAM PREREQUISITES:
Student taking this course should be familiar with personal computers and some introductory knowledge of basic computer applications. They should be familiar with using a cell phone. They should be comfortable with android or iOS operating system; can launch and close activities; and navigate to information stored on the cell phone. They should also have an ability to manage applications on cell phone.
- Must have: High School Diploma or High School Equivalency
- Must score: 9 or higher in CASAS
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Use Disk Utility to prepare a volume for macOS and describe the macOS installation process using both the Mac App Store and macOS Recovery.
- Identify the proper way to migrate data from one Mac to another using the data migration tools in macOS.
- Identify the power states of a Mac running macOS and describe how to troubleshoot power states on Mac models that don’t have a sleep indicator light.
- Identify the different types of accounts in macOS and describe the capabilities of those accounts, including keychain and password options.
- Identify and describe various security settings for macOS, including Gatekeeper, FileVault 2, Firewall, Firmware (EFI) password, location service settings, and more.
- Describe how to use Time Machine in macOS to create, restore, and manage a secure backup for a customer.
- Describe how to configure and use macOS features, such as Spotlight and Mission Control.
- Use System Preferences in macOS and Apple accessories to configure a wired or Wi-Fi connection to an existing network and securely share data over that network.
- Use tools in macOS to configure online services, such as an Apple ID account, iCloud, Mail, and Continuity.
- Troubleshoot, evaluate, and isolate a given issue with a Mac to learn how to resolve it.
- Given an isolated issue, categorize it as hardware (including accidental damage), software, or environmental, or as an educational opportunity.
- Identify the online resources necessary to ensure that a given Mac model is serviced properly and safely.
- Describe the purpose of specified diagnostic tools.
- Use Apple documentation, approved tools, and appropriate service strategies to safely repair various Mac computers.

Student will have access to all necessary equipment and supplies such as Computers, Screw Drivers, Repairing kits and other tools to work with for the duration of the course.
Student will have full access to our Learning Management System (LMS) portal, Google Classroom and Live Webinars. We will be providing resources in the form of PowerPoints, video tutorials, quizzes, assessments and much more.

After successful completion of Apple tech certification program and obtaining certification(s), A Job Readiness program and a free Resume Building Workshop will be offered to student through Ideal Career Centre, to prepare students for their job search.

CAREER TITLES:
Students who successfully complete an APPLE CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN course will be able to secure jobs as Apple Creative, Apple Genius, Apple Expert, Apple Operation Expert, Store Leader, Apple Store Manager, and Apple Technical Specialist. An Apple Technical Certificate validates that an individual has the basic skills to repair, troubleshoot, and diagnose all Apple devices. You may apply for work locally or you may pursue jobs internationally by taking additional training if needed. On an average an Apple Technician earns an average salary of $49,000 per year.
