PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Get ESL and learn English. After, Gain the skills you need to be a security professional, and prepare to take the CompTIAA+ Security+ certification SY0-501 exam, as you master the basics of system security, network infrastructure, access control, and organizational security. After you complete this course, you will be proficient in installing and configuring systems to secure applications, networks, and devices. You will also be comfortable performing threat analysis and responding with appropriate mitigation techniques, participating in risk mitigation activities, and operating with an awareness of applicable policies, laws, and regulations.
PROGRAM PREREQUISITES:
Students must be familiar with using a personal computer, mouse, and keyboard. They must be comfortable in a Windows environment; be able to launch and close activities; and navigate to information stored on the computer. They must be able to manage files and folders.
- Must have: High School Diploma or High School Equivalency
- Must score: 9 or higher in CASAS
After the completion of this course you will be able to effectively work with all micro applications. The material is presented in a step-by-step manner, and you will learn by completing readings and hands-on exercises, in addition to watching video presentations. You will have sound knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Power Point. The course outlines three stages of each application such as introduction, intermediate and advanced level.

Many entry-level Network Specialists start their careers in Help-Desk or support positions. In many cases, on-the-job training is required. Common duties include monitoring networks, documenting network problems, and providing technical support for company personnel.
While working in the field, it is important to maintain certification. Most professional certifications need to be renewed after a certain period of time. The CCNA and CompTIA credentials are valid for three years. In order to renew, Cisco requires completion of an exam, while CompTIA allows candidates to take an exam or continuing education courses.
