PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
he goal of the HSEAP Program is to provide students the skills like Language arts – Reading, Language Arts – Writing, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies with instructional support that will enable them to participate fully in their educational experience in our schools and in their social lives in our community. This program will also prepare you to handle bookkeeping for a small business. Learn how to use QuickBooks software, the leading small business financial software program. This program not only teaches you proficiency with QuickBooks software, it also teaches you to master everything from basic accounting to double-entry bookkeeping. Hands-on activities help you learn skills like planning a budget, managing a payroll, and handling Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
PROGRAM PREREQUISITES:
Students should be familiar with using a personal computer, mouse, and keyboard. They should be comfortable in a Windows environment; be able to launch and close activities; and navigate to information stored on the computer. They should be able to manage files and folders.

Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the following topics:
- Recognize your own verbal mistakes and correct them.
- Brainstorm, draft, and outline ideas for essays and other forms of academic writing.
- Revise the organization of written work to increase unity, coherence and emphasis.
- Give a standard oral presentation which informs and/or persuades the audience.
- Understand and discuss ideas delivered in academic lectures and social conversations.
- Develop and ask questions appropriate to a given listening context.
- Understand and respond appropriately to the speech of multiple speakers.
- Performing basic bookkeeping equations.
- Setting up QuickBooks.
- Entering data accurately.
- Managing bookkeeping.
- Using double-entry accounting.
- Understanding the impacts of debits and credits for all account types.Install and configure a local printer.
- Identify various network connection types.
- Configure a TCP/IP client.
- Provide IT support for portable computers.
CAREER READINESS:
After successful completion of the program and obtaining certification(s), A Job Readiness program and a free Resume Building Workshop will be offered to student through Ideal Career Centre, to prepare students for their job search.
CAREER PLACEMENT:
Upon successful completion of the course and certification, student will get 100% job placement assistance through Ideal Career Centre.
CAREER TITLES:
As a bookkeeper one can expect to work in close proximity with a business or company in order to ensure that the most economically viable and safe decisions are made in order to keep finances tight and under control. A bookkeeper should have vast knowledge of QuickBooks, or a similar a computer accounting program, in order to track and record the financial transactions and records of a company. Strong MS-Excel skills are also a must in most companies. Part of the bookkeeping process also includes calculating, recording, and balancing financial reports, including payroll.
Ideal Institute of Technology will provide a one-time voucher for student to take Intuit QuickBooks Certified User (QBCU), along with TASC test for HSEAP.
Student will have access to all necessary equipment and supplies such as Laptops, Computers, Textbooks for the duration of the course.
Student will have full access to our Learning Management System (LMS) portal, Google Classroom and Live Webinars. We will be providing resources in the form of PowerPoints, video tutorials, quizzes, assessments and much more.
