PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
The Building Maintenance Certification course at Ideal Institute of Technology is a 450-hour program designed to train students in the essential skills needed to maintain and manage building systems. This course is perfect for individuals who want to enter the facilities maintenance field and are interested in learning about electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other core maintenance disciplines.
Over the course of 450 hours, students will develop practical skills in:
- Performing routine inspections and repairs of building systems
- Maintaining electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Understanding basic construction and carpentry skills
