
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
The Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) course at Ideal Institute of Technology is a 225-hour program designed to prepare students to become skilled technicians capable of diagnosing, restoring, repairing, and replacing critical Cisco networking and system devices. This program provides essential knowledge and hands-on experience in maintaining Cisco equipment—a vital skill for professionals supporting enterprise networks.
Over the course of 225 hours, students will develop key competencies in:
- Identifying Cisco equipment, related hardware, and cabling
- Diagnosing and resolving common network problems
- Performing basic troubleshooting on Cisco routers, switches, and other network devices
- Replacing Cisco hardware components and using Cisco’s technical support resources
- Documenting and escalating issues when necessary
- Working with Cisco networking tools and software
- Certification: Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) Certification, an entry-level credential recognized globally in the networking industry
- Supplies:
- Access to classroom networking equipment and labs
- Required textbooks and online resources provided by IITNJ
- Optional: Personal laptop recommended for home study
- Access to classroom networking equipment and labs
CAREER READINESS:
After successful completion of Apple tech certification program and obtaining certification(s), A Job Readiness program and a free Resume Building Workshop will be offered to student through Ideal Career Centre, to prepare students for their job search.
CAREER PLACEMENT:
Upon successful completion of the course and certification, student will get 100% job placement assistance through Ideal Career Centre.
CAREER TITLES:
Many IT careers are Help-Desk or support positions, Network Specialists, Computer Hardware and support specialists, IT Technicians. Common duties include monitoring networks, documenting network problems, and providing technical support for company personnel.
