PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
The Housekeeping, Maintenance & Facilities course at Ideal Institute of Technology is a 225-hour training program designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in hospitality, property management, and building maintenance. This course covers essential skills in housekeeping operations, basic maintenance, and facilities management, making it ideal for individuals interested in careers in hotels, resorts, and residential or commercial properties.
Over the course of 225 hours, students will gain practical experience and knowledge in:
- Understanding housekeeping procedures, including cleaning techniques and infection control
- Managing laundry services and guest room preparation
- Performing basic maintenance tasks, such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs
- Implementing safety, security, and emergency procedures
- Applying preventive maintenance strategies and facilities management best practices
- Working with housekeeping equipment, chemicals, and supplies
- Following OSHA 30 safety standards and practices
