PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
The HVAC Technician course at Ideal Institute of Technology is a 225-hour training program designed to prepare students for entry-level careers in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) industry. This course introduces students to the principles of HVAC systems, providing hands-on installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting skills essential for residential and light commercial HVAC work.
Over the course of 225 hours, students will gain hands-on experience in:
- Understanding the fundamentals of HVAC/R systems and their components
- Installing and servicing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
- Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on HVAC equipment
- Working with refrigerants and ensuring environmental compliance
- Using hand and power tools safely in HVAC tasks
- Understanding electrical systems related to HVAC equipment
- Certifications:
- NCCER Core Certification
- OSHA 30 Certification
- NCCER HVAC Level 1 Certification
