PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
The Tiny Home Construction Management course at Ideal Institute of Technology is a 225-hour training program designed to teach students how to manage and build tiny homes from the ground up. This course combines essential construction skills with project management fundamentals and focuses on providing hands-on experience in constructing a fully functional tiny home.
Over the course of 225 hours, students will gain hands-on experience in:
- Interpreting construction drawings and understanding building codes
- Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Planning and managing the construction process of a tiny home
- Applying foundational skills in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and finishing
- Integrating sustainable building practices and materials
- Practicing job site safety with an emphasis on OSHA 30 standards
Preparing for and achieving NCCER Core Certification
